Ok, people. We are on WEEK FOUR this week of the program. You should all have a printout but I will start posting WORD documents each week to try to make it as clear as possible. This is the first week that we will actually read from all four gospels, and also several selections where we see what are called GOSPEL PARALLELS, which is the same story, parable or speech written in a different perspective. This is where meditation becomes quite interesting. We will see three different versions of the gospel story concerning the ministry of John the Baptist and the Temptations of Jesus in the Desert–very, very rich material to compare and contrast. But the lecture this Wednesday will focus on the readings from WEEKS TWO and THREE. Just to give you kindof a “hook” for what we are talking about Wednesday at 7:00, the lecture is entitled “The Joyful Mysteries of the Gospel,” because our readings cover all five of those mysteries!
